  7. System Requirements: Requires System 7 and Photoshop 2.0 or greater (It might
  8. actually work in System 6 although I have not tested it).  You can use it in
  9. Quark also if you have the

  11. This Plug In Module (PIM) generates a calibration strip that can be used in the
  12. calibration of the "Transfer" function within "Page Setup" in Photoshop.  It
  13. generates all the control points for the transfer curve; 0%, 5%, 10%, 20%, 30%,
  14. 40%, 50%, 60%, 70%, 80%, 90%, 95% and 100%.  Each block is a 1/4" although you
  15. can scale the entire strip with the "Image Size" Dialog.  The calibration strip
  16. is generated as a portrait, but you can rotate it as you need to.

  18. I use this strip to calibrate my system from the computer to the press.  The 5%
  19. and 95% allow you to ensure that you didn't lose your highlight dots or that
  20. your shadow dots aren't plugged.  The 50% point allow you to check the dot gain
  21. of the system.

  23. I've thought of adding a dot gain text field so that you could print a
  24. compensated calibration strip.  This would also include highlight and shadow
  25. limits as well.
